Kirsten & Gerhardt | Weddings
Oh I loved this wedding so.
Early morning misty bridal portraits, 100 meters of pink and white bunting, a lake-side ceremony in a boat house, a long-sleeved lace gown, a couple so sweet they smelled like toffee apples! I loved it all from start to finish and it was an absolute TREAT to be there to document Kirsten and Gerhardt’s special day!
Some of you might know that Kirsten is, in fact, The Bride With A Blog! If you have not yet visited the website, and like all things ‘wedding’… hop across and have a look!
Between you and me, Elgin is one of my favourite places to photograph weddings! There is something quite magical about it. Simple.
Rockhaven was the perfect place for Kirsten and Gerhardt’s fun daytime wedding and I almost died of excitement when I realized the ceremony was taking place in a boat house that completely opens up onto the lake.
Thanks to Monique Faurie for your awesome assistance on this one! You rock!
Kirsten and Gerhardt, I know you are busy moving your lives across country at the moment and I hope you enjoy reliving your beautiful wedding day through some of these images (in between unpacking boxes and setting up house in Namibia, where Gerhardt works as a pilot)!
I’ll stop the banter and get to the photo part now.. x
I love this one of Kirsten looking down through the window at her guests arriving for the ceremony..
I loved the warm and festive decor! When Kirsten told me they had MADE 100 metres of bunting I was SO excited!
Kirsten’s bridesmaids held beautiful oil lamps during the ceremony instead of bouquets, I love something different!
We had a fun and informal ‘photobooth’ going on during the reception and things got a little crazy ;)
Couldn’t decide which ones to post.. so here are some more! I ♡ Kirsten and Gerhardt’s guests!
and one more batch for good measure!
