Sarah and Andrew made their way back home to South Africa, from abroad, to get married in front of their most special people. The weather was incredible and their outdoor ceremony on the lawn at Buitenverwachting was just perfect. What I loved most about photographing Sarah and Andrew on this happy day is the way they were so kind and gentle with one another. Sarah’s laughter is contagious and it was an absolute treat being able to document some of the fun for this fabulous gal. Thank you Andrew and Sarah for allowing me to be a part of your most wonderful wedding day.
I am finally getting around to blogging this happy day! Candice and Gary both live in New York but came back home (Gary’s home) to South Africa to get married. Their beautiful and very informal wedding was planned by Mardi and Niki from The Event Planners. Wonderful working with these two ladies! The wedding took place at Gary’s family home, Geneva Slopes, in Camps Bay overlooking the Atlantic seaboard. Gary’s whole family work in the fashion industry, Gary is an amazing photographer whose work you can see here. Gary’s mum, Carol, is an incredible make up artist and did Candice’s make up on the day. You can see some of Carol’s work here. Soon after Candice and Gary’s wedding they were blessed with a little baby girl. This was a story with a very happy ending! Candice and Gary, thank you for having me come and photograph such a special day in your lives!
It was such a pleasure to go back to Luanda, Angola, to photograph another beautiful wedding. I have photographed two weddings there in the past and you can have a look at them here and here if you like!
Marcia and Daniel had two wedding days. The first was a small and intimate civil ceremony on the beach, which you can view here, and the second was the big (500 guests!) religious ceremony wedding day.
A few weeks ago I traveled to Luanda to photograph Marcia and Daniel’s two day wedding celebration. Here are some pictures from the civil ceremony they had on the beach. Day two to follow soon.
Love, love, loved photographing Nick and Sarah’s elegant wedding at Grand Dedale Country House. This venue has become one of my absolute favourites, it has an incredibly relaxed yet sophisticated feel. Nick and Sarah were such a pleasure to have in front of my lens on this sunny Saturday.
Olwethu and Litha got married at the lovely Lourensford Wine Estate a few months back. It was a happy day filled with lots of laughter among friends and family.
Here are a few of my favourites from the day.
Caitlin and Tyler had a wonderfully relaxed wedding at Mosaic Private Sanctuary in Stanford. It was my second time shooting there and I really enjoyed being back to shoot this beautiful outdoor wedding.
I loved how different Caitlin’s wedding dress was and also the fact that her own brother performed the ceremony! Many of the guests traveled over from the States (where Tyler is from) to be there and I could tell how much they enjoyed experiencing one of South Africa’s many picturesque places.
Here’s a little look back at Caitlin and Tyler’s big day…
