I recently photographed Ku Ku and Luc’s engagement session (which you can see here) and had such a lovely time photographing them again on their wedding day at the beautiful Vrede en Lust Estate. Cara from The Mosaic Wedding Company did a wonderful job at making sure everything went smoothly and Ku Ku and Luc’s family and friends from all across the globe were treated to absolutely perfect weather on the day.
I am always a bit nervous (and flattered) when shooting other photographers (Bradford is an amazing fashion and lifestyle photographer), but it was just impossible to feel anything other than relaxed and happy when working with this incredibly vibrant couple. Theirs was a very informal celebration and Carolyne’s family from Brazil showed us Saffa’s how it’s done on the dance floor. The Conservatory in Franschhoek was the perfect place for this shindig and it looked extra pretty after Liepzig was done with all the florals. I hope these make you smile as much as they did me when putting them together.
Zishan and Mac’s wedding guests (from abroad) were treated to mountain, ocean AND vineyard views all on the same day! Their ceremony took place at The 12 Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay, overlooking the Atlantic ocean, and then it was off to the wine lands for the wedding reception at Vrede en Lust Estate. This was the first red wedding saree I have photographed and I love how it popped against the green of the vineyards. Zishan and Mac’c beautiful destination wedding was wonderfully coordinated by Cara from The Mosaic Wedding Company.
Lauren and Andrew’s wedding was my last for 2016. What a wonderful way to end off the year! It was lovely to have these two incredibly down to earth sweethearts in front of my camera again (you can see their engagement shoot here) and it was such a pleasure documenting their sunny, relaxed and fuss free day at Brenaissance Wine and Stud Estate in Stellenbosch. Thanks to Claire Nicola for second shooting and Angelique Smith for assisting! As always, here are a few of my favourites.
I’ve been looking forward to sharing some of Lindelie and Pierre’s wedding photos. Theirs was a very glamorous affair and I loved too many things about this wedding to mention. Vrede en Lust Estate was the perfect place for the occasion and Lindelie and Pierre had a wonderful team of suppliers that all came together and created some magic for this wonderfully beautiful day. Thank you to Claire Nicola for second shooting this one with me and Nelani van Zyl for for assisting.
Love, love, loved photographing Adele and Zibu’s love story! This special couple got married by Adele’s father at an Anglican church in Durbanville and the wedding reception was at Lourensford Estate in Somerset West. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and I was reminded again how privileged I am to do this for a living. Adele and Zibu, I hope you enjoy a little look back on what was the most beautiful day! Thanks to Nicci Scheepers for assisting and Jan Dorfling for second shooting.
Christine and Johan got married on a perfect summers day this past December. The ceremony was held at in Stellenbosch at the beautiful old Moederkerk and following that the reception was at Lourensford Estate in Somerset West. It was a real pleasure photographing this sweet and easy going couple and here’s a little look back on their beautiful wedding day.
