I loved getting to know Nolene & Heinrich on their recent engagement shoot up the West Coast. The weather was amazing on this particular day and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding celebrations later on in the year! Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope these make you smile as much as they did me.
Natasha and Saahil got married this time last year. They came to Cape Town recently (from Johannesburg) for a weekend away to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. They wanted to have some photos taken while in Cape Town to remember this special time in their lives. I loved photographing them in the sunshine on one of many beautiful beached we have here in the Cape.
I recently photographed Ku Ku and Luc’s engagement session (which you can see here) and had such a lovely time photographing them again on their wedding day at the beautiful Vrede en Lust Estate. Cara from The Mosaic Wedding Company did a wonderful job at making sure everything went smoothly and Ku Ku and Luc’s family and friends from all across the globe were treated to absolutely perfect weather on the day.
Ku Ku and Luc live in China but recently came to South Africa (where Luc is originally from) to celebrate their wedding day with family and friends. We met up on a sunny afternoon in Camps Bay a little while before the wedding day and had a really lovely engagement session. It was such a pleasure spending some time with them photographing the sweet and gentle way they are with one another.
I am always a bit nervous (and flattered) when shooting other photographers (Bradford is an amazing fashion and lifestyle photographer), but it was just impossible to feel anything other than relaxed and happy when working with this incredibly vibrant couple. Theirs was a very informal celebration and Carolyne’s family from Brazil showed us Saffa’s how it’s done on the dance floor. The Conservatory in Franschhoek was the perfect place for this shindig and it looked extra pretty after Liepzig was done with all the florals. I hope these make you smile as much as they did me when putting them together.
Zishan and Mac’s wedding guests (from abroad) were treated to mountain, ocean AND vineyard views all on the same day! Their ceremony took place at The 12 Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay, overlooking the Atlantic ocean, and then it was off to the wine lands for the wedding reception at Vrede en Lust Estate. This was the first red wedding saree I have photographed and I love how it popped against the green of the vineyards. Zishan and Mac’c beautiful destination wedding was wonderfully coordinated by Cara from The Mosaic Wedding Company.
Lauren and Andrew’s wedding was my last for 2016. What a wonderful way to end off the year! It was lovely to have these two incredibly down to earth sweethearts in front of my camera again (you can see their engagement shoot here) and it was such a pleasure documenting their sunny, relaxed and fuss free day at Brenaissance Wine and Stud Estate in Stellenbosch. Thanks to Claire Nicola for second shooting and Angelique Smith for assisting! As always, here are a few of my favourites.
