Beautiful Berlin based singer, Iza, was recently in Cape Town and while she was down she booked a portrait session with me. We started out in Bo Kaap for a few colourful ones and then headed down to the beach for a few more.
You might recognize Minette and Johanathan from their recent engagement shoot (which you can see here).
These two lovebirds came down from Bloemfontein to get married in the Cape and they chose the most beautiful day on which to do so!
Sometimes I meet clients who I feel like I’ve known forever. Minette and Johnathan were those clients. They are the warmest and most laid back couple and it was an absolute pleasure to have them in front of my camera for their engagement shoot.
I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding this coming weekend!
Babylonstoren is a very special place. The perfect place in fact to get married! Laura and Michael traveled down from Hong Kong for their destination wedding on South African soil and an amazing time was had by all!
Laura and Michael thank you for having me share in your most special day, I do hope you enjoy a little look back..
Lauren and Gavin got married at one of my favourite wedding venues, Rockhaven. There is something very special about the Elgin Valley and I loved being there to photograph this special day.
Lauren and Gavin, I hope these photos bring back some happy memories and thank you so very much for choosing me to photograph your gorgeous wedding day!
Danelle and Fred live in London but came back home to South Africa to get married. It was such a pleasure photographing such a laid back and friendly couple. Their wedding was held at Brenaissance in Stellenbosch and it was a truly romantic affair.
Danelle and Fred I wish you all the happiness in the world and thank you for having me come and photograph your special day!
Beth and Brad celebrated their marriage with close family and friends at the amazing Gondwana Game Reserve which is just outside Mossel Bay.
I don’t think I have ever met a bride as easy going as Beth. There were a few things that didn’t go according to plan on the day, one of which were gail force winds, but Beth didn’t let anything get to her.
It was a truly wonderful experience being at Gondwana for this special wedding!
I absolutely loved photographing little Caitlin, she has the most wonderful temperament and is totally and utterly adorable. Seven months old is such a cute age and I would recommend that all parents have their babies photographed at this time.
I hope this little poppet makes you smile. Happy Friday all!
It has come to my attention that I have not posted any photos of my adorable little niece since the day she was born (here).
She is almost 5 months old now, she sits and has two teeth! Very advanced I’d say!
The insanely talented Heike and I decided some time ago to do a styled shoot. Heike had the genius idea of using black as a ‘pretty’ statement colour within the wedding theme. I hope after seeing these photos someone out there will be inspired to have a gorgeous black wedding gown!
I had so much fun shooting all the gorgeousness and a big thank you to all the service providers who came on board and helped put the whole look together. We make a pretty mean team and we’ll be doing another styled shoot in the no so distant future, so watch this space!
Weddings are generally very happy occasions, but Sumien and Johann’s wedding was an extraordinarily happy one.
Sumien and Johann live in London and came back home to sunny South Africa for their wedding. There was so much love and excitement on the day as they hadn’t seen many of their family and friends in a very long time. Sumien and Johann are such down to earth and welcoming people, it was an absolute pleasure photographing them throughout the day.
I first came to know Gera whilst she worked at Elle Decor Magazine as we were corresponding about a shoot of mine that they were featuring. It was a little while later that Gera emailed me to ask if I would be her wedding photographer. I knew this wedding was going to be a super stylish, just like Gera.
The wedding was held at Johann’s family farm, De Wetshof, in Robertson. The ceremony took place in the cellar and the beautiful reception was held in a big tent on the lawn. I LOVED the blush, black and white colour palate!
When I got Serene’s email asking me if I would come to Singapore to photograph her wedding I was beyond excited. I have always wanted to visit Singapore and you can read more about my ‘travel/holiday’ side of things here.
Serene met Gavin whilst she was studying in England and the two of them have since relocated back to Singapore.
